Furkan Andic went to Ukraine for university after finishing high school. However, he returned to Turkey due to equivalence problems. He first started his associate degree program in Radio and Television Programming at Istanbul Bilgi University. He did not finish school here either. He enrolled in Yeditepe University's Visual Communication and Design Department.
UKRAINE DAYS
Furkan tells how he decided to go to Ukraine: "I played basketball when I was in high school. My lessons were not so good. They went to basketball practice after lunch break. When the university exam period came, I did not know what to do. Continuing to play basketball professionally was a risk. As a 17-year-old, I was not in a position to make that decision. My parents wanted me to get an education. Me and my friend made decision 'Let's go to Ukraine'. We stayed 4 people in a 12 square meter room. When we finished the prep, they gave us a list to choose a department. From aeronautical engineering to economics... I looked at the bottom of the line. It was Economy. I thought if it's at the bottom, it must be the simplest one and I chose Economy"
